The Steam Sound Card

MyLocoSound – Steam generates up to one watt of synthesised sound which is highly adjustable to represent a variety of steam locos, from narrow gauge to main line freight and express passenger units.

Adjustment is easy; you just need a small screwdriver to adjust the controls shown :

MyLocoSound - Steam
Once it has been installed and connected, the MyLocoSound – Steam sound card can be adjusted to provide the sound characteristics required for each loco. Adjustments are made by using a 2-4mm flat bladed screwdriver to turn the trimpots located down one side of the sound card, as shown above.

The bell is for American locos and will ring while the motor or track voltage is in the range 4 to 8 volts. If you do not require a bell then remove the bell jumper link.

The bell jumper also changes the whistle style to the deep tones of American locos.
The chuff start adjustment should be set to match the voltage at which the loco starts moving as power is applied. The maximum chuff rate should be set to the appropriate rate when the loco is running at maximum speed depending on the number of clyinders.
